A large re-location corporate was looking into a test case for re-investing in a property by presenting properties they were required to sell on behalf of their clients, rather than leaving them empty and dropping the sale price to entice buyers after a certain length of time.
RCI organized for a small amount of refurbishment work to be done on the property to bring it up to a higher level of presentation and then dressed and furnished the apartment. This provided the test against a similar style of apartment in a similar location, which was left empty.
The apartment was viewed by many more prospective buyers than it had been whilst it was empty and an offer was made and accepted within a few weeks of the work being finished. The re-location company are looking to offer this solution to some of their clients on a tactical basis where appropriate.
